Getting There

Wellington Airport is located on Stewart Duff Drive, only 8km south-east from the city. To get there, either follow the State Highway 1 signs through the Mt Victoria Tunnel; or if you feel like a drive and you have a bit more time, take the road around the bays, starting at Oriental Bay. The trip from town takes from 15-20 minutes, but if you are catching a flight early in the morning or late in the afternoon, allow at least half an hour for travel.
